Greene County, OH, Amateur Radio License Classes

Every Spring and Fall, the Greene County, OH, amateur radio clubs - Bellbrook Amateur Radio Club (BARC), Xenia Weather Amateur Radio Net (XWARN), and Upper Valley Amateur Radio Club (UVARC) - offer FREE amateur radio license classes to the general public. Classes for all three license levels - Technician (Beginner), General, and Amateur Extra - are offered.

Classes for Fall 2016 begin Sunday, September 11, and will continue for nine sessions through November 6. Classes run from 7PM to 9PM. A Greene County Test Session for FCC Amateur Radio Licenses is scheduled for Sunday, November 13th at 6:00 PM at Beavercreek Township Fire Station 61.

ARRL license manuals are now available in Kindle format (and paperback) from Amazon: Technician, General, Amateur Extra. ARRL License Manuals may be ordered at the first class session for a special discounted price of $25. Payment is due at time of order. License Manuals usually are available by the 2nd class session. ARRL License Manuals may be ordered directly from the ARRL Bookstore for $29.95 plus shipping; or from R&L Electronics in Hamilton, OH for $26.95 plus tax plus shipping (or pick up in person—call first to check stock.

Free Amateur Radio Tests in the Dayton Area
